What local residents think of ESCC Services

Results of a random household survey from 625 houses in 86% of the 145 roads in East and West Wards conducted by me during the winter of 2000/01 In response to a question relating to 'which ESCC services were the most important?' ( … individual responses received), these were in rank order.

Crime Prevention

Firefighting and Rescue Services

Household Waste Site

Road Gritting

Road Maintenance

Support for the elderly at home

Protecting children at risk

 

Police Authority priorities should be (rank order):

Community policing

Emergency calls

Reducing burglaries

Drug related crime

Reducing traffic accidents

 

 

Health Authority Priorities should be (rank order):

Reducing waiting lists

Caring for cancer patients

Care for elderly people

Mental health

Sexual health and education

 

Tony Slack is extremely grateful to everyone who replied. Questions were also asked about what people liked most about Crowborough and what they would most like to change.  This information  has been used on a number of occasions in meetings and reports  to reflect what local residents think are important.
